Fems CSR Programs
School Awareness Programs
A common practice that is seen in Sri Lanka is young girls not attending school during menstruation as some lack the knowledge to maintain proper hygiene and myths associated with the category. These factors inspired Fems to encourage young girls to break free from these issues by educating them on the importance of proper sanitary napkin use and good hygiene practices in order to help foster better health and lifestyle habits. Fems took this initiative a decade ago, educating 100,000+ students thus far reaching out to both urban and rural schools. Obtaining approvals from relevant government bodies including Ministry of Education programs were conducted in Western and Southern Provinces in 2019 and 2020.
Hygiene Awareness Programs in Garment Factories
Over the years Fems has taken steps to educate women of different social class across the country. Good feminine hygiene practices, personality development programs and recognizing the women who have gone an extra mile were awarded and encouraged in these programs over the years reaching out to 1000s of women across the country. Fems endeavors to continue this mission of empowering women to be their best at all times.
