Learning Environment

At Hemas we believe that continuous learning is imperative for professional growth - especially in order to harness the opportunities available in a rapidly evolving business environment. As such we invest considerably in training and development - enabling proactive and determined employees to obtain new skills and capabilities.

Management Trainees

New recruits, from diverse educational backgrounds, are provided with 18 months of rigorous cross - functional training in their selected industry sector. At the end of the training period, the management trainee is free to select a function and is given a further intensive introduction into the scope of work. 

Classroom Experience

Employees have the opportunity to participate in training programs at both local and foreign learning institutions.  Many executives have obtained international exposure into new business concepts at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in Hyderabad, India, and senior managers have attended the Indian School of Business.  Local training consists of both in-house and external courses.

On-the-Job Development

Employees have the chance to receive on-site training. These include participating in foreign trade fairs with a senior level mentor, obtaining technology training at international supplier headquarters, and taking part at trainee level in principal and client meetings. A 360-degree feedback program has also been introduced, initially for senior managers, enabling reviews from peers and direct reports.  Each employee is also provided with a clear set of performance goals with detailed mid-year reviews to track progress.
